Uniswap v4

Uniswap v4 goes live, opening access to the draft code for community contribution and public building. The most significant feature of this update comes in the form of hooks aka plugins for developers to customize their liquidity pools and how they interact.

“Hooks bring the programmability that we love about Ethereum to Uniswap. You can think of it like, [with v3] there’s a few levers you can pull when you want to deploy a Uniswap liquidity pool. Now with [v4], you can basically program anything you want into a liquidity pool,” says Noah Newfield, business development at Uniswap. “We’re most excited that anyone can deploy those kinds of pools for much cheaper than before, so the sky’s really the limit in terms of whatever the world can come up with there.”

Ennis: At its core, blockchain tech is a brilliant way to facilitate transparency and security across networks. However, web3 requires higher digital skills than the average person, making it a tough environment for beginners.
