Mantle, a highly anticipated L2 backed by BitDAO, announced the launch of their mainnet this week at EthCC. The optimistic rollup works in collaboration with EigenLayer to segment execution, data availability, consensus, and settlement into separate layers to retain Ethereum security as well as lower transaction costs.
Lens V2 rolls out to the masses, optimizing the protocol’s codebase to further enhance the building experience for developers. Updates to the open-source social graph include composable social networking via Open Actions, ERC-6551s, and more.
Uniswap launches their opt-in beta for UniswapX, a trading protocol that aims to address the pain points of onchain trading. UniswapX will include gas-free swapping and aggregating liquidity sources for better priced transactions.
The battle between the SEC and DeFi continues as new legislation for cryptocurrency regulation hits Congress Thursday, July 20.
